Well guys it has been a long and very cold winter but now it's march and time to start thinking about the 2010 racing season, I have taken a job that has taken my time over the winter but now that has mostly come to an end as the season is approaching. i have searched the globe for some good clay that i think will make a great racing surface and fortunatly i have found what i think will do the job and I have scheduled it to be delivered within the next few weeks.
I am currently working with a few racing series to bring some great Super latemodel events but not to forget our weekly racers we have been working with many racing part manufactures to get some contingency awards for the racers. as always I strive to bring something new the track.
We are working with other tracks in North Carolina to try to bring The state 4cyl championship to the county for the 2010 season but all the details have not been worked out yet so please no questions.
Also we will not be sanctioned with nesmith this year for the crate division but instead we will not be sanctioned by any outside body but we have massaged the rules in this class a little to incorporate the goodyear tire that we used to run but the Hoosier/Nesmith tire will also still be legal and in addition we will make legal the new Fastrak hoosier tire and all of these tire will be available at the track. In addition to all this we are currently working with a large company to bring some of the best crate racing to the county via national corporate sponsorship.
The latemodel Sportsman division also saw a slight name change as well as a few rule changes. this has always been a great class at the county with much tough competition.
We expect great things for this class this season with the new changes.
The modified street is also expected as always to be a great class with some tough competition as we have seen in the past we have about 10 cars on any given night that can win with the proper breaks.
The Street stock is a class that i had my doughts about last season but in the last part of the season it really came on strong with several competitiors that could win weekly and a crew of rookie drivers that really proved that they had what it takes to be winners. With Stephen Sofield moving up a class this class is sure to be a new division every week
The Mini stock division has always been one of the best classes we have at the county but also the most contriversial but with a few rule changes i think we have a well rounded class that makes it easy for any racer to be competative and still be versatile enough to go anywhere and be fast as well as others to come race with us and be competative.
We have started a new class called the Roadrunners which is a class that is mostly for fun and is the most economical we have at the county, This class is for anyone who has a job and wants to race now we have a class for you now.
I have not posted the 2010 season schedule yet because we are waiting to work out a few last details and should have it all worked out shortly and posted on this site.
But we will be practicing on april 10th and 17th with the first season race on the24th.
So it's time to get started for us all me at the track and you guys with the cars and we look forward to seeing all of you in April
